Annihilation of Caste is an undelivered speech written by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in 1936. It was meant to be the presidential address at the annual conference of the Jat-Pat Todak Mandal (Forum for the Break-up of Caste) consisting of Hindus from mostly privileged castes. After reviewing the speech, conference organizers revoked Ambedkar's invitation. He then self-published the work. This collection begins with the letters written in correspondence with the organizers. The actual transcript of the speech begins from page 10. Thereafter, the document also includes M.K. Gandhi's Reply to Ambedkar titled 'The Vindication of Caste' and Ambedkar's subsequent reply to Gandhi. In its entirety, this document contains a very rich conversation about the history of caste politics and anti-caste movements, and is a foundational text for anyone looking to understand the topic of Caste in India.
